“Fältveb” at death

and from Erkki Lehto 29jul2023:
“A was born in 1695 in Ingermanland, most likely in Nyen (located in Ingermanland, ceded by Sweden to Russia by Treaty of Nystad of 1721, which ended the Great Northern War), as his older brothers Anders m (surely in Nyen), Jakob, Barthold and Johan. All but Johan became guerillas after 1711 in the Great Northern war 1700-1721,
The father was Franciscus (de) Antonini who escaped(willingly left?) from Nyen for Stockholm in 1702
Despite the family name the male lineage is of Finnic DNA but not in Finland before the early 17th century.
The research is underway in the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Austria etc.
Anders Anthon was in the service of the Orange Princes in the Swedish Troops of Magnus Wilhelm Nieroth until 1700, in 1702 (he was) found in Tartto in the same regiment under the same officers that returned from Holland. Found in Riksarkivet documents, Nyen documents and the Military rolls.
Franciscus was a fencing master presumably trained in Krakow as the family name is found there since the 16th century.

Yours FM (MA) Erkki Lehto”

“Dear David, if you are of
Adliga ätten Jordan nr 243
Adlad 1638-01-27, introducerad 1638.

The connection with my wife's family would come via Fleming and Stubbe families, just as first sight, distant cousins very early. My wife is not at home at the moment so this takes a bit more time, she knows the spouses´families better. But these two at least.

The Anthoni-Antoninis are not registered in the Finnish nobility, only in Poland, one registered with another  and some unsure as Anthoni Lofelt in Sweden, in the Polish Schlachta registry, and unsecurely (not confirmed) the Antonius in present Estonia (not in matricula) and as it looks now in Austria in 1631/ as the Rovereto Antonini that came from Friuli, the Venice Republic, terra firma areas. The branches in Friuli and Rovereto are originally from the north, not from any Italian areas at all , but Transalpine areas and to more north and are likely originally from around the Baltic Sea and the southern bank of the Finnish Gulf. This early origin is a great mystery, as they are of Finnic Y-DNA but the latest connection in Finland is only from a mutation that happened in 950 AD and the descendants are in eastern Karelien.

Professor Eric Anthoni (d,1978) has researched the family and has confirmed that it has no Finnish national connections but they are from the south. This does not close out Y DNA. Sadly the male Y DNA is not available from Udine or Friuli nor Rovereto as the male descendants have all passed away, most of them a long time ago. The original family in the late 14th century and early 15th century were iron, and iron gear/tools and weapons tradesmen that arrived first into Amaro, Friuli and spread from there (this is better documented) into Rovereto (Trentino) during the Venetian occupation period. One branch was sent to Krakow also. And one branch came from Hungary directly to Krakow.
It has taken me three years to end this phase and a lot is still open.

Much has been given by the Trentino and Amsterdam genealogists and good, new research from Venice terra firma ares Antoninis, Udine. Also the branch in Amsterdam is today cleared, arriving from Rovereto, which also reached merchants as shipowners Gdansk, Hel, Königsberg, Gdansk and sailed into Stockholm, and all major Baltic ports in the late 17th and early 18th century.

Two more branches from Friuli became mercenaries for Catholic Spain in the Netherlands and later also for the Princes of Orange on the side of the United Provinces (protestants). Also one Swedish/Dutch general sent his son Ernest of Nassau for the war in Gradisca, next to Udine and he died in the house of Antonini in Udine. He had 3000 mercenaries from Holland (and elsewhere) in the early 17th century in Udine. One  di Antonini disappears then from Udine, and I do not know if he could be the father for our Francesco de Antonini (de and di varies in German and Swedish areas, many times Antonini is written as Antonius and this causes more trouble). Anthonis and some more near family also fought for Princes of Orange, Anders likely from 1688 and changed by Charles XII of Sweden with his regiments latest in 1702 in Tartto (Magnus Wilhelm Nieroths regiment), then Pärnu 1706-1710 and 1711 became a guerilla with brothers Jakob, Barthold, and the Abraham (born in 1695) the eldest son Johan entered in the Savo doublings regiment and the new formed Savo infantry regiment after the defeat in Viborg in 1710. He also took part in guerilla action in Savo, especially Sulkava areas. Barthold, Abraham and Jakob, all stayed in Savo after 1721 with Johan. Only Anders was moved in 1720 from the guerilla troops into the castle regiment of Kajaani, in the north. He became the ancestor for the professor Eric Anthoni family and my wife´s as well. The different branches have autosomal DNA connection, but males only have descendants after Anders Anthoni.

I have written one book three years ago about the Anthonis, but the male lineage has changed a lot of that already.

The family history has been shrouded purposefully, as the guerilla Anthonis attacked several important Russian generals or their troops before 1720, and likely in 1713 in Hatsina, Ingermanland tried to kill Tsar Peter the Great -who escaped narrowly. Professor Erci Anthoni was later one of the Swedish-Finnish Activists against Russia during the latter part of Russian rule of Finland and one of the founders of military training units in Germany that later defeated the Russians and the Finnish Reds.
During the Russian attack 1919-1940 and 1941-1944 one of the family was heading the secret police that hunted the Communists who worked for the Russians. The family has received (murder)threats, also my wife, our children and I in 1983, as the latest by the leftist extremists. And, as people surely know, the present leader of Russia believes he is the incarnation of Peter the Great and/or Catherine the Great of Russia. ´

Eric Anthoni was a vice man keeping much of the earliest history behind the curtains, sadly much also was lost.

Today the research is not given at all in Finnish, but only in English on the Anders Anthoni branch. Of course eventually everything will be revealed at some point but we have been treated with courtesy. The early Anthonis are not in the public trees as united before 2021.

Kristina Anthoni is found in Geni, and her own research (Anthoni spouses families) in Anthoni Web Site, in MyHeritage.

Will send you the documents soon.”
