Notes for Johan Vesterinen
roll 55677/58066
on p 118 RK of 1830-35, Äänekoski, no. 5, Kumpumäki, Nyb. Johan Thomas 1796 and Caisa Pehrs. 1803

Äänekoski RK of 1850+ has birthdate as 11 Mar 1796

Ts. ungk. Joh. Thoms. at marriage. marriage record lists him from Äänekoski .He was living married in Äänekoski during 1822-28 in Kumbumäki nyb. No. 4 with Staffan Harkonen and his wife Stiina. Staffan died and Stiina (half-sister of Johan moved away 23 Jun 1829, (with certificate to either Laukaa or Rautalampi) leaving Johan as the head of household.. The Saarijärvi RK for 1822-28 ...p 183, and most importantly that Caisa Pehrsdr came to here from page 67, which makes her the daughter of Pehr Mattsson!

godparents: Thomas Karhu, Marg. Westerinen (double checked birth record).

Left Kiesmä/Kuslax No. 3, Nattimäki on 30 Jun 1827(1822?) to go to Sarijarvi acc to roll 58057, page 222, the rippikirja for 1822-1831. The words "öde 1822" are on the record. These mean:
Originally people in Finland (Sweden) owned the land, but step by step the homesteads were taken to become the property of the Crown (the King). Normally that happened when the "bonden" could not pay the taxes during a three years period, the house was marked as deserted ("Öde") and the Crown took it and gave it to the next farmer or very often as a donation to some nobleman, officer or civil servant. The donation could be "for ever" or "for life's time"
So during the 16th and 17th centuries almost all farms at least in South Western Finland transfered from farmers to the crown and they were forwarded to noblemen, officers and to the "bonden" who were wealthy enough to put a horseman (soldier) to the service of the Crown. Those horseman sometimes were called "bonderyttare" (peasant rider?)

in Saarijarvi, at "Kangash.No.1, Westerinen" on 21.12.1847, an "Inh. unkl. lb. Johan Westerinen dies at age 57 of ald inagk?" check RK to assure that this is the same Johan.THIS MUST BE THE OTHER JOHAN WESTERINEN

...1850-60 RK p 191 has Johan Thomason Westerinen dead on 20.7.1851, his wife is Caisa Pettersdr

oct97..When I check Saarijärvi deaths on roll 55683, I found no record of his death during 1847 to 1851
Notes for Catharina (Spouse 1)
lived in Sarila 1814-20
1822-1830 RK p 067 Pyrinlax 3 Sipila “gift til p 183 1828”

LDS roll 67554 for marriage

roll 67551, 1850-1860 when she was living in Kumbumaki/Äänekoski for the 1803 birthdate

i looked throught the Saarijarvi Kopiot years 1800 - 1813, roll 55683. No "Caisa"s were born, but
an Anna Caisa in 1800 to Pehr Mattss. and Maria hendriksdr,in Limattala.
In Ahola/Kalmari on 4 Oct 1803, an Anna Caisa to Pehr Mattsdr and Ana Liisa Hendriksdr,
and in 1808 in Leppääho to Pehr Hendrikss a Brita Caisa.

look at rk and lk for Ahola, in what parish? to see if she is recorded as marrying Johannes or leaving to Kiesmä
did RECHECK ON HER..THE KOPIOT has on 4 oct 1803 an Anna Caisa born in Ahola Kalmari to Pehr Mattsson and Anna Lisa Henriksdr(she died at age 5), and on 8 dec 1803 in Lepistö, a Carin born to Pehr Mattsson and Lisa Henriksdr

gift to p 183 in 1828?
page 183 is the home of Johan Thomasson Westerinen, whom she marries

recheck the roll 67551 date.

roll 55683 (Saarijarvi kopiot) says marriage date was 7 Aug 1828 for Ts. Johan Thomass fr. (Kiemasjärvi-crossed out) Änekoski (sic) m. bdr. Caisa Pettersdr. I DID VERIFY THIS

I later find a 26.12.1826 marr of Drg. Johan Vesterin of Kuckajärvi with bdr. Eva Hendricsdr..is this another Johan?, a prior marriage?, and was there a death of Eva Hendricsdr in 1826-28? SUCH a death cannot be found...a divorce?? Were there simultaneously two Johan Westerinens in Saarijärvi? VERY LIKELY!

if one calculated Caisa's birth year from the ages listed for her at the births of her children, she could have been born in1803,1804,1810, 1807,1808
her birth does not appear in the kopiot for Sahalax, Rautalampi or Viitasaari for 1803.
