Notes for Thomas Fält
In Hattula parish, and all in Mervis, Ächtila which is a long way from Rautalampi, in 1768 to 1780. a sold. Thomas Fält/Feldt, with Marg Mattsdr, Marg Stephansdr, Marg Johsdr (all the same?) has Thomas, Helena, Anders, Brita (1771) and Catherina. a Johan Faldt also in Mervis. There were relatively few births in Hattula. A good match would have a son Olaf and Beata
A Thoms Falt with Marg Sephanidr had children in 1776 to 1783 in this same town; no other contemporary Thom.Falts were found in Finland
Hattula is close to Hämeenlinna are these Fälts military?
I then looked, months later, at the Hattula kopiot. no Fälts were born 1759 to 1766 except to a Johan Fält in Mervis. No Fälts were married in Hattula from 1740 to 1770. All the Beatas born anywhere near 1760 died at childbirth, BUT I decided to look at the RK of 1779+ for Mervis (roll 0056209), and found the Thomas Fält family in Mervis, Ächtila on page 310! The notes reveal that some of them moved to Rautalampi in 1783/84. Most of the family went to the Sammoja torp. in Tavastehus parish, which is Hämeenlinna. He may have become a landowner. It seems that neither he nor wife died there before 1793. records are lost for 1793-1822
From the 1784-88 RK (what would be page 101, near the end), he and family lived in Sammo torp. (other words obscure..the photocopy is dark. perhaps line two contains xxxhuso Inshar, line three, Borgwest Ullnor) all of the expected children are there plus son Thomas. Thomas and Brita have a “psi” sign before their names. Also living in Sammo torp was a soldier Jacob Mild and his wife Maria Fält born 1761 (error?), a son Matts b 1787 and another, ???? Hedvig
FOUND EARLIER....sold. Olof Fält dies of vattsot in Vuonamo 1 Sep 1807 at age 50, therefore born 1757; brother of Beata? an infant Johan Fält dies 1806 in Vuonamo
no Fälts found in Rautalampi kopiot births 1722 - 1777, not even Olaf. is there another book containing Rautalampi births? There are Rosenfalts in Wuonamo, Jarnfalts in Wesamäki, åfält in Westerilä, none have Beata or Olaf as children

looked at Loimaa parish 1756-1777 for Thomas Falts. In Cajoupara a "Gla. Solv (superscript u) Thomas Fält and Caisa Thomasdr have Thomas 1762, Carl 1767, Regina 1769 and Catherina 1772. There is a Matts and Jacob Falt here also.

In Hattula and Loimaa, there are no marriages of any Thom. Falts back to 1735. There was a Matts Falt in Loimaa and Laxfalts and Estfalts in Hattula.

the birthdate is from p 111 of 1767-72 RK. 1767 is the first year that he and family are recorded as being in Hattula. Another soldier family had lived there previously. Ächtila, Hattula is found on the page next to Ketara in the 1760+ RK.

After their parents death in 1790 the two children went to ?Parola, ?Ruola, ?Karvola Esko to live with thier mother’s brother acc to RK p 65 of 1785+. There was also a soldier Gustaf Fall, b 1750 with wife Caisa Gustafsdr b 1749 living in Lill Lolas Tarckala during 1767-72 (p 24) and 1775-78 (p 17). They had children: on 1 sep 1774, Regina and on 17 dec 1776, Johan. The Anna Emanuellsdr “ifr Ketara” who died in 1776, lived with them

Many of his children are confirmed by being found in HisKi; sometimes he is called Thomas Simonsson, which must be an error. He is always called a soldier, wife’s name was always Marg. and the place of children’s birth was consistent; therefore he was not two different people. There were no Simons in Hattula, at least, who had sons named Thomas anywhere near 1737 acc to HisKi.
HisKi has his birth date as 7 nov 1737 whereas one Rk had it on nov 27. NOTE___HisKi also reports a death of Thomas, Erich Hendrsson and Walborg Johansdrs son on 13 nov 1737 in Lillluolas Tarcka at age 7 days, which figures, BUT where does any other Thomas come from, especially with a birth year of 1737 and adult residency near Lill Luolas. in Kalvola from 1779 backwards, the taxpayers do not inclued a Thomas and wife Margeta. There are in Heinus, Kalvola many Beatas. In 1763-68 a “Thomas bymåls” and “Maria h valh (or valk)” were listed. from roll 54877, in Heinus/Jakola Rusth. and Heinus/Simola, a possible genealology speculated is Jöran father of Erik (marries Maria, has Lisa, Erik and Brita), Hendrich (marries Maria, has Sigfried and Maria), Jacob, and Sigfred. Sigfried Hendrikssson marries Lisa and has Erik, Beata and Anders
When he lived in Sammo torp, three pages away in the RK was a Henrik Falck with wife Maria O??f W????g and a Henrik Gustaf born 1776, dr Ulrika born 1778 and dr Christ. Charlotte, born 1781

I searched the 1755-67 Rippikirja of Kalvola for a Thomas Ericson Fält born 1737, wife Marg., and found NOTHING even suspicously like him. There was a place named Heinus, but not a Jatkola. Was where they lived at the border of the parish and therefore to be found elsewhere? I have given up on Kalvola.

“1784 til Tavastehus församling (in 1784 to Hämeenlinna parish)” with her husband and Brita, Caisa, Anders and Lena (plus Anna). Beata and Thomas went to Rautalampi in 1783 at ages 17 and 15 respectively. Was there an older brother (uncle?) Olof already there to house them?
